Amy Byrd

In loving memory of Amy Loraine Mortensen Byrd, who finished her mortal journey and returned to her Heavenly Father last Wednesday, April 23, 2025. She was born in Salt Lake City on October 7, 1963. Amy is survived by her mother, Gaylynn Loraine Harrison Mortensen, her brothers David (Melanie), Jason (Magi) and Phillip (Lorena), her aunt Cheryl Madrid, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, and two sweet grand-nephews. 

Amy loved her family and found joy in celebrating holidays with them. She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Lynn Mortensen, grandmothers Amy Harrison Beal and Isabel Mortensen Marshall, grandfathers Elbert Beal and William Marshall, and aunts and uncles, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. Amy loved to draw and was very creative. She worked at Valley Mental Health teaching Arts and Crafts for five years. She loved spoiling her nieces and nephews during the holiday seasons. She also worked at the Alta Club with her Grandmother Amy Beal. 

Funeral services will be held at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery on May 1, 2025 with a viewing at 10:00 AM and a graveside service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the cancer research program of your choosing.
