Amanda Hanson

July 16, 1984 — March 27, 2015

Amanda Rae Allred (Hanson) age 30 died in Salt Lake City on Friday, March 27, 2015. At peace after a long and valiant battle with depression and addiction.
Amanda was born July 16, 1984 to Peggy Bjornn and Merlin Allred. She spent her early childhood surrounded by cousins and friends in Murray, UT. She was truly a brilliant child filled with tenacity. She was walking at 9 months and learned to ride a bike at age 3. She had a smile that lit up every room and the sweetest sense of humor.
Amanda has always been an accepting and caring friend to everyone. Those who knew her, knew her to be extremely compassionate and loving. Amanda was always there for her friends and was an ear to those in need of someone to talk to. It seems Amanda always knew the right thing to say to make others feel loved and comforted. She always found joy in camping and fishing with her friends and showing off her voice at karaoke nights.
She is survived by her mother, father, a multitude of siblings and her beloved husband, Jeffrey Rich Hanson and her beautiful boys Colson Rich Hanson and Knowlten Iver Hanson. Her sons were the light in her life. Always put a smile on her face and provided her, every day, with inspiration and love. She raised them to love without prejudice and to treat everyone with respect. It shows in how loving they are to everyone they know.
Services will be held at 2:00pm at Lake Hills Mortuary 10055 s State Street, Sandy, UT, on Thursday April 2nd, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for her two sons will be accepted at America First Credit Union. The account will be under the name Colson and Knowlten Hanson or you can use acct # 9075110.
