Alpha Jean Davis, age 88, daughter of Hershel and Juanita (Hubbs) Crum, was born October 5, 1928 near Raymondville, MO. She passed away January 21, 2017 at her daughter Sharon’s home in West Valley City, Utah following a battle with ovarian cancer.

Alpha grew up in Raymondville, Missouri where she met her first husband, Delbert Davis, whom she eventually divorced. Being the catch that she was Alpha went on to marry two other men in her life- Dick Barber who passed away not long after they got married and then to Hal Beckstead.
Alpha’s skills in both cooking and entrepreneurship enabled her to own and run a successful restaurant by the name of “Alpha’s Café” from 1963 to 1984. After closing her café she worked for Reams Grocery Store until 1998 when she retired at the age of 69. Alpha loved life. Her personality consisted of an unwavering independence, a very honest but hilarious sense of humor, and an overall fun outlook on life. She loved dancing, an occasional drink, family get togethers, and gambling in Nevada. Most of all, she loved her family.
Alpha will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends.
