Alma Yolanda Alba Wood passed away December 24, 2018 in Murray, UT at the age of 72. Alma was born on June 24, 1946 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico. She immigrated to the U.S. with her entire family in 1962. Alma married Dana Clark Wood on January 30, 1969.
Alma was very talented and influenced many people cross culturally. Her loving and infectious personality lifted spirits everywhere. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alma cooked phenomenal Mexican food and was best known for her Green Salsa and tortillas. She was a fantastic Mexican Folklore performer who taught many generations of youth and adults to dance. She appreciated fine sources of music and enjoyed directing choir at church. Alma loved a bargain and frequented estate sales. She especially loved collecting bird houses, exquisite vintage clothing and unique jewelry.
She is survived by her loving husband, children, and brothers; Dana Clark Wood (husband) Dana Mario Wood (son), Rene Jared Wood (son), Sonia Angelita Wood Rivera (daughter) and husband Carlos Armando Rivera (son-in-law), Ezra Benjamin Wood (son). Alma’s brothers: Rolando Alba, Sergio Alba, René Alba, Mario Alba, Miguel Alba, Mahonri Alba as well as 8 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother and sister.
