Alissa Ann (Balane) Stanton passed away suddenly at the young age of 27 on February 1, 2016 in West Jordan, Utah. Alissa was born on April 3, 1988 in Orem, Utah to Memorie Ann (Baker) Stanton and Edward John Stanton. She married Mark Balane and later divorced.
Alissa was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, and friend to all that knew her. She loved reading, listening to music, and cross stitching. She was incredibly smart and was always a top student in her studies and enjoyed playing the violin. Alissa had a laugh that no one could forget and a smile that was contagious. She enjoyed nothing more than playing outside with her children and surprising them with gifts year round.
Alissa is survived by her two beautiful children Kurt Bradley Stanton (age 10) and Leila Ann Balane (age 7), her sisters Chelsey Marie Stanton and Shirese Renee (Stanton) Goldring, and her parents Memorie Ann (Baker) Stanton and Edward John Stanton. She is also survived by her grandparents Jerre Baker and Jerry and Catherine Espigh, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers Bruce Baker and Richard Stanton. Alissa will be greatly missed by all.
The viewing will be held on Monday, February 8 at Redwood Memorial Estates 6500 S Redwood Rd from 6-8pm. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00am at the LDS church on 9376 South 4000 West in West Jordan, with a viewing starting at 10am. A dedication of the grave side will immediately follow.Service Information
