Alice Jean Henningson Zwahlen

Alice Jean Henningson Zwahlen, age 83, passed away June 24, 2019 in Murray, Utah. She was born on September 15,1935, in Kenilworth, Utah to Legrand W Henningson and Mary Alice Jumper. She married David Clive Zwahlen on April 26, 1952 at the home of her parents and later was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Jean loved her family and was always in service of them.  She loved having the grandkids come over to visit and they have fond memories of her great sense of humor and her sweet accepting nature. Once you were brought in to the family, you remained in the family.
Jean suffered these last few years with health problems; despite her challenges she continued to serve her children and those around her. She served in many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of the longest was as the ward librarian. She loved doing family history.
She is survived by her loving children: David (Marva) Zwahlen, Mary Fausett, Irene Zwahlen, Barbara (Randy) Anderson, Carolyn Memmott (Bob Ahre) Alice (Monty) Sharp, Fred Zwahlen, Pauline (Kreg) Johansson and Sally (Kenny) Ertmann; 27 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchilren with one on the way,  6 Great-Great Grandchildren; sisters FloAnn (Bevan) Wilson, Hazel (Dick) Cox; Brother-in-law, Wayne Staley; Sisters-in-law, Jackie Zwahlen and Joanne Zwahlen and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents: Legrand and Mary Henningson, her husband, David Zwahlen, her brother, Neil Henningson, sisters: Dorothy Pulley and Delise Staley and daughter, Anna Orton and son-in-law, Larry Fausett.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at The Heritage Ward, 67 West Clay Park Rd, Murray. Visitation will be July 1 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary on 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan and again one hour prior to the funeral. Interment to follow the services at Redwood Memorial Park.
