Alex Buddy Sandoval

July 10, 1920 — September 30, 2019

Our Beloved Father, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather, Alex Buddy Sandoval (99), joined our Heavenly Father on September 30th at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City. Alex was born in Maxwell, New Mexico on July 10th, 1920 to Cordilia Cruz Vigil Sandoval and Eugene Sandoval. Before serving in the United States Army as a WWII interpreter for Spanish speaking soldiers from 1942-1944, Alex married his one true love, Frances Ramona Perea in Price UT in 1940. Together and Armed by God, Alex and Frances had 5 children and celebrated 76 beautiful years of marriage. As a Carpenter/General Contractor, Alex was instrumental is building Discovery Christian Church and many other buildings, churches, restaurants and homes in the Greater Salt Lake Area. His Love for God, Steadfast faith and resilient nature speak to his character and the legacy he leaves behind. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances Sandoval, his parents Eugene Sandoval and Cordelia Cruz Sandoval Vigil, four siblings, and grandchildren Del Marty Rodrigues, Troy Sandoval, and Baby Allexandra Kimball. He is survived by his children Eugene Sandoval, Delores Sandoval Comerford, Loretta (Harold) Sandoval Kimball, Phil (Chris) Sandoval, Jay Sandoval, 13 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at Discovery Christian Community, 5929 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT. 84121 on Monday, October 7th, 2019 with a viewing starting at 11:00 am with the burial to follow at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84123.
