Alberto S. Bascourt, 77, West Valley City, passed away October 28, 2013. He was born in Santiago, Chile, February 8, 1936. He was married to Marfisia Bascourt for 50 years. He had a passion for Latin and Jazz music. His favorite sport was soccer – a diehard fan of University of Chile “Blue until the end”. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings, including branch secretary, district president, bishop and also counselor to President Leonard Hartley of the Chile Santiago South Mission. He is survived by his wife, Marfisia, three children and eight grandchildren. A viewing will be held Friday, November 1st, 6 – 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 2nd, 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan North 2nd Ward, 4270 So. Falcon St. (4145 W.) with a viewing one hour prior to services.
