Albert Baumann

Albert Baumann was born on February 19, 1937 in Kaunas, Lithuania to Karl Ferdinand Baumann and Emma Beidokat. He passed away on September 11, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
 
Albert arrived in the United States from Germany on May 23, 1963 with his first wife Monika Haussner. They divorced soon after. He married Kerstin Lowenmark on April 23, 1966, they were married for 40 years and had two daughters; Heidi and Julie.
 
Albert was a true German Craftsman. He made beautiful pieces of furniture with great skill, detail and quality. He worked for Burkhard Berger and Commercial Interiors building furniture for executive offices, hotels, restaurants and bars as well as furniture for his home.
 
Albert was also an amazing soccer player, playing as a goal keeper for over 40 years. Started in Triebes, Germany, then on to Stuttgart, Germany. In Utah he played for SC United. SC United played other local clubs, international teams on tour to the US and BYU.
 
Albert is survived by his daughter- Julie Dillman, grandson- Talon Dillman, ex wife- Kerstin Baumann and nieces and nephew residing in Germany.
 
He is preceded in death by his daughter Heidi, brother- Erwin Baumann and sister- Elizabeth Leppert.
 
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Following the interment, there will be a luncheon provided by the family.
