Alan Edward Sweatfield age 72 who passed July 10th 2024 in his bed at his home.
He was born October 25th 1951 in Vernal Utah to Edward Alvin (Tex) Sweatfield and Beth Collett Sweatfield.
He married Linda Louise Keating on December 28th 1976. Alan was an avid history and prehistory buff, he majored in Archology with a double minor in botany and child psychology, one more course would have added anthropology. He was intimately involved with the Glenn Canyon dam project. This was a multi-state multi university project to survey the area covered by Lake Powell. Alan loved animals his many pets over the years and the outdoors, especially river rafting and shooting.
I would be surprised if I ever find an award or any recognition of accomplishment in his effects. If I found all of them, I couldn't possibly list them.
Alan really loved his work and the relationships he created through his service on the state energy board as president of the board. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had a second extended family, in his many friends and colleagues.
Alan is survived by His Sister Colette, Daughter Samantha, Daughter-in-law Juliana, Son Jonathan, and Grand Daughter Azure.
He is preceded in death by His Mother-in-Law Irene, Father Tex, Wife Linda, Father-in-Law Jack, Mother Beth, Sisters Gena and Megan. multiple close friends and relatives.
