Al Burt Jarvis

Al Burt Jarvis, age 82, passed away on March 7, 2018 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on April 30, 1935 in South Jordan, Utah to Abraham Spencer Jarvis and Blanche McMillian Jarvis. He married his high school sweetheart, Ardie Griffin on June 25, 1955.
Burt was a gentle, courageous, kind soul. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed many holidays, birthdays and events with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a very strong work ethic and spent 30 plus years as a supervisor for Olympia Sales. He was a talented wood worker, he loved to make custom toy boxes and pencil boxes. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, golfing and bowling. Burt was blessed with a best friend that also happened to be his brother Benny. Burt & Ardie along with Benny & Deon spent many wonderful years and had many wonderful adventures together. Among their favorite, horseshoe tournaments with the whole family at Benny’s cabin and fishing in their paddle boat at Jordanelle reservoir and hitting the slots in Mesquite.
Survived by his son, Randy; daughter, Susan (Robert); 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant son and brothers.
A viewing will be held Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary (6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT). Funeral services will be held the following day at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior.
