It is with deep love that we share the passing of our beloved Akesa Takui Brunt at the age of 72 into the arms of her Heavenly Father on February 16, 2025. Akesa was affectionately known as “Viola,” and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend. Viola was known for her Christlike love that she so freely gave to anyone who crossed paths with her. She had a sincere devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren.
Born on May 1, 1952, in Tonga, Viola was the daughter of Leaine Alama and Viola Moli Wolfgramm. She grew up in Koloa, Vava’u, Tonga where she developed a deep love for sewing, fishing, and dancing. Viola came from loving families and spent much of her time going back and forth between her Moli and Wolfgramm families. As a young teenager, she emigrated to Utah and eventually graduated from West High School. Viola later met and married the love of her life, Andrew John Brunt, on May 23, 1981, and they were sealed with their children on December 17, 1994, in the Salt Lake City temple for all time and eternity.
Viola worked for Beehive Clothing for 36 years. Her ambition and servant leadership created opportunities for her to grow and lead teams here and overseas. Her career took her to Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay, Philippines, and it allowed her to combine her love for people, service, and travel. She continued this love as a full-time missionary where she served faithfully with her husband at the Family History Center.
Viola’s family was her greatest accomplishment. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she loved attending their many activities and performances. She loved her family trips for quality family time and enjoyed serving in various ward capacities.
Her memory lives on through her husband Andrew; children, Michael (Rae Lee), Rosalina (Milan), Taynia (Tauni), Johnathan (Brynnlee); grandchildren, Loiana, Bella, Logan, Eyring, Viola, Zedek, Luisa, Liliana, Malik-James, Malia, Talanoa, Veisinia, and Aleki; mother, Faletoa; siblings, Sateki, David, and Faletoa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leaine and Viola, her son, Mosese Wolfgramm, and her siblings - Efalame, Ofa, and Atelaite.
Her love and light will live on in our hearts forever.
