Afton Singleton Atwood

Afton Singleton Atwood, age 86, passed away on January 30th, 2020 in Murray, Utah. She was born on April 23rd, 1933, in Springville, Utah to Elden and Vera Singleton. She married Clive L. Atwood on June 15th, 1950 and later sealed in the Manti Temple on May 8th, 1958. Afton loved playing bingo, an avid volunteer at Sunday Anderson West Side Senior Center, a lifelong active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions. She was open-minded, accepting and diverse in all her beliefs. Our mom was a strong and feisty woman and her family was everything to her.
She is survived by her children David (Terrie), Dennis, Paula, Todd (Ann), siblings Gwen, Verd (Martha), Richard (Karin), 13 grandchildren Lisa (Steven), Koda, Shane, Dustin (Evelyn), Nicholas (Raketta), Jeremy, Brandi (James), Shauntel (Kevin), Taleesha (Skyler), Zachary, Jaren, Tiffani, and Tawni. 23 great-grandchildren Callen, Emery, Alayna, Brayde, Alexis, Evelyn, Princess (Antonio), Chris, Dominic, Izabelle, Rozelyn, Xzavier, Britta, Kyzleigh, Kyra, Jace, Tazia, Kai, Aleia, Paxton, Isaiah, Kai, Nevaeh, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, in-laws Jennie (Hyrum), siblings Elda (Ken), Rena (Ned), Roger Lynn, Ann, Irene (Greg), Rich, children Jerry (Becky), Leland, grandchildren Paul and Shasta.
