Adrianus “Jim” Lems

September 28, 1958 — May 30, 2016

Adrianus Jacobus Lems (Jim) age 57 was reunited with his son Ben in a heavenly celebration on May 30, 2016. Jim was born on September 28, 1958 to the loving parents of Johannes Nicolaas and Klasina deWaal Lems, who preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his loving wife Nora Elisabeth of 37 years, his daughter Candace Shylow, and his three adoring grandchildren Yanus , Makayla, and Kayden.
The things Jim will be remember for the most is his laughter, sense of humor, particle joking, leadership, care and compassion for others. Jim loved the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, boating and going to church ;).  Some of his favorite spots were Mirror Lake, Pineview, Lake Powell and anywhere he could not get cell service. The greatest joy in his life were his grandkids who he included in everything he did. Yanus, Makayla, and Kayden who were and always will be the apple of his eye.
Jim married his eternal companion on March 5, 1979 and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 5, 2006. Together they raised two beautiful children.  As a family they enjoyed exploring the back roads and ghost towns. Jim took pleasure in NASCAR, motorcycling, going antiquing, and collecting pocket watches and paintings.
Jim touched many lives with the serves he did for the community. He was a city counsel man for West Jordan for 3 years, he served on the CAP committee, Zoning committee, and other committees doing what he could do to help others. One of his goals was to serve others through owning his own business, which he accomplished next year.
Jim you touched many lives and you will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers please give donates to the Lems Family to help with funeral expenses.
