Adriaan Van Vossen

Adriaan Van Vossen, 85, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 following a brief illness. He was Born October 18th,1929 in St. Annaland, The Netherlands. He and Truus Van Vossen, his wife of 64 years immigrated to the United States in 1956 and began a life together in Salt Lake City. He had a successful business in the janitorial service providing a comfortable life for his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Truus with whom he had 3 children; Elly Savage (Jack), Dirk VanVossen (Marilyn), and Trudy Warner; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelis Van Vossen & Pieternella De Haan.
He and Truus enjoyed traveling to the Netherlands where those they visited treasured each and every visit due to Adriaan’s ability to make everyone laugh. His first grandchild was born 1971 and from then and forever after Adriaan became a loving and devoted grandfather. He’ll be remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren as an incredible sweet tooth known to sprinkle sugar on just about anything, a celebrated jumper often leaping over fences just to make them laugh, ice cream enthusiast, treasure finder, and card shark.
