Adolph J Maez

Adolph (J) Maez, 84, passed away on April 3, 2018 in Sandy, Utah.  Adolph was born to Elias and Bersabelle Maez on June 4, 1933 in Center, Colorado. He was the sixth of seven children.
Adolph was raised in Colorado until he moved his wife and children to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1968.
He was drafted into the Army in 1954. He retired from the State of Utah in Social Work. He loved helping people in need.
Adolph was a country boy who loved to fish, camp and read. He loved his family most of all.
He married his bride Valentina on November 21, 1953. He is survived by his wife Valentina, daughter Alison (Kenneth) Pullan, granddaughter’s Michelle (Susan) Brown and Kennedy Pullan, grandson’s Cody Pullan, Travis and Ernest Hards, great grandchildren Anitra and Briana Ulibarri, and several other family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his daughter Angela Van Cure.
We would like to thank the ICU staff at Alta View Hospital for the care they gave him over the last nine days.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 P.M., with a mass to follow at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy. A service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy with viewing at 10 A.M. – 11 A.M. Interment will take place following the services at the same location.
